If you were ever looking for an album to get into Britney Spears, this album would be a good choice. The album is Britney’s traditional period as she moves from classic Britney to a new more adult, confident, sexy but less Britney style. The end result of this is you get the best of both worlds.
She tries to make it clear she is changing with a cover of “I love rock and roll” and lyrics like “but Cinderella's got to go.” However there are still classic Britney sounds from tracks such as that’s where you take me and when I found you.
The album has some sticky songs but all albums do and it’s a little disappointing. Even with a sampler app it wasn’t great. But enough with the complaining, its overall sound is good, there are no tracks that aren’t particularly bad.
The life is about average and that about sums up the album. It’s a great introduction to Britney and it is a strong album but it’s nothing to shout about. So if you’re a Britney album, buy it, if not, give it a miss. |
